The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is a 2013 epic fantasy adventure film co-written, produced and directed by Peter Jackson. It is the second installment of a three-part film series based on J. R. R. Tolkien's 1937 novel The Hobbit, beginning with An Unexpected Journey (2012) and set to conclude with There and Back Again (2014). The three films together act as a prequel to Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film series.
The storyline continues the events of An Unexpected Journey, in which the hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) travels with the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and a company of thirteen dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) into the Kingdom of Erebor, taking them through Mirkwood, Esgaroth, and Dale to combat with the dragon Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch).
Jackson wrote the screenplay with his longtime collaborators and Lord of the Rings co-writers Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens, and Guillermo del Toro, originally chosen to direct the Hobbit films. The film also stars Evangeline Lilly, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Ken Stott, James Nesbitt and Orlando Bloom.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug premiered on 2 December 2013 in Los Angeles, and was released internationally on 11 December 2013.Like its predecessor, the film used a shooting and projection frame rate of 48 frames per second. The new projection rate was advertised as "High Frame Rate" to the public.

A flashback set in the human town of Bree reveals Gandalf the Grey persuading Thorin Oakenshield to obtain the Arkenstone so that Thorin can become the King of Erebor. Gandalf mentions that a stealthy burglar - Bilbo Baggins - needs to be recruited to steal the Arkenstone from the dragon-guarded mountain. Twelve months later, not long after the end of the previous film, Bilbo, Gandalf, Thorin and the Dwarven company are chased by the Orcs down from the Carrock, where they encounter the bear form of a charging skin-changer, Beorn. Gandalf urges the company to seek refuge in a nearby house which happens to be the abode of the calm human-form of Beorn. After expressing his hatred of Orcs over that of Dwarves, Beorn loans his horses to the company so that they can outrun the pursuing Orcs. Azog, the leader of the Orcs, is summoned to Dol Guldor where he is given command of the armies. He then gives his son, Bolg, the task of hunting the dwarves.
Gandalf departs before the others enter Mirkwood, urging Bilbo and the dwarves to follow the forest path and to wait for him before entering the mountain. After losing their way in the forest, the dwarves are captured by giant spiders. Bilbo, with the help of the One Ring, manages to free them from the webs of the spiders. However, while fighting the attacking spiders, the dwarves are captured by the Wood-elves. Tauriel, a female elf, becomes enamoured with Kili, one of the imprisoned dwarves. As a result, feelings of jealousy are evoked within Legolas, the son of the Elvenking, Thranduil, when he discovers it.
Under the cloak of his ring, Bilbo steals the keys and helps the dwarves to escape from the Elf Kingdom using empty wine barrels that float down the river. Along the way, they are attacked by the Orcs who had been lying in wait. While trying to open the river gate, Kili is injured by a poisoned orc arrow. Subsequently, Bilbo and the gang meet Bard, a bowman and descendant of the original Lord of Dale, who was waiting to collect the empty barrels in his river barge. Pooling their coins to bribe Bard to smuggle them inside Lake-town, the gang are eventually captured by the Master of the Town when they try to steal battle-worthy weaponry. After Thorin convinces the townfolk and Master that they will share the riches of the recaptured mountain, the adventurers receive a grand send-off. Oin, Fili, and Bofur stay behind to attempt to heal Kili.
Meanwhile, the Elvenking learns from a captured orc that "The One" has returned, and so decides to seal off the Elf Kingdom to protect it from the impending evil. However, Tauriel leaves to help the injured Kili and a concerned Legolas gives chase, while at the mountain, Bilbo deciphers the Last Light of Durin's Day clue and uses the moonlight to find the hidden keyhole that opens the secret door into the mountain. After entering, Bilbo attempts to steal the Arkenstone by himself, but is discovered by the awakened dragon, Smaug. At the same time, Gandalf, after sending Radagast away with a message for Galadriel, knowingly steps into the orc-ambushed Dol Guldur and engages the Necromancer in a fierce battle that ends with Gandalf's capture.
The elf pair arrives in the nick of time to fight off the attacking orcs in Lake-town before splitting up. Tauriel attends to the wounded Kili using her healing magic while Legolas chases after the retreating orcs. Sensing that something foreboding would happen, Bard tries to affix a Black Arrow to the town's launcher so that it can pierce the weakened spot of the dragon that was spotted by Bilbo earlier. However, he is captured by the Master's men before he can do so. Eventually, the dwarves enter the mountain to rescue Bilbo. Kili asks Tauriel if she could love him. Tricking the fire-breathing Smaug into rekindling the forge using his fiery flames, they attempt to kill the dragon by drowning him in molten gold. However, Smaug stumbles out of the mountain and takes to air, shaking off the gold-coating. Bilbo watches in horror as Smaug flies toward Lake-Town to wreak havoc and to seek revenge.

http://moviestack.blogspot.com/2013/12/frozen-2013.htmlElsa, a young princess of Arendelle, possesses the ability to create ice and snow. One night while playing, she accidentally freezes her younger sister Anna with her powers. The king and queen seek help from trolls, who heal Anna and remove her memories of her sister's magic. Their leader, Grand Pabbie (CiarĂ¡n Hinds), informs them that if Elsa had struck Anna's heart it would have been fatal. In order to protect Elsa and avoid her powers endangering anyone else, the royal family lock themselves away in their castle. Elsa, afraid of hurting Anna again, spends most of her time hiding in her room, creating a rift between the two sisters as they grow up. Years later, their parents are killed at sea during a storm.
Three years after the death of the king and queen, dignitaries from all over the world flock to Arendelle to see Elsa's (Idina Menzel) summer coronation. Among them is the Duke of Weselton (Alan Tudyk), a tradesman who wants to exploit Arendelle for profit. Anna (Kristen Bell) is excited that the castle gates will open and she'll finally get to meet people. While strolling through the streets, she meets Prince Hans (Santino Fontana) of the Southern Isles, and the pair quickly fall in love. Though Elsa is terrified of revealing her powers, the coronation goes off without incident. During the reception, Hans proposes to Anna, who accepts. Elsa, however, refuses to grant her blessing, setting off an argument that culminates in her abilities being exposed to everyone.
Panicking, Elsa flees to the North Mountain, inadvertently unleashing an eternal winter on the kingdom in the process. After coming to terms with her secret being out, she rejoices that she no longer has to be afraid of her powers, building herself an ice palace and unknowingly bringing to life her childhood snowman Olaf. The following morning, Anna sets out in search of Elsa, determined to return her to Arendelle, end the winter, and mend their relationship. While at Oaken's (Chris Williams) Trading Post, Anna meets ice trader Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and his reindeer, Sven, and convinces him to guide her to the North Mountain. After an attack from wolves, the pair meet Olaf (Josh Gad), the snowman Elsa created, who leads the group to Elsa's ice palace.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

After winning the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark return home to District 12. On the day Katniss and Peeta are set to begin a victory tour of the country, President Coriolanus Snow visits her. He explains that her approach to ending the last Hunger Games, where she and Peeta attempted a suicide pact after learning they could not both survive, inspired rebellions in the districts; he orders that Katniss not only convince the entire country of her and Peeta's love as the reason for their actions, but convince Snow himself.
The first stop of the tour is in District 11, former home of Rue, Katniss' 12-year-old ally who was killed in the previous games. After Katniss and Peeta voice their personal thoughts regarding both the districts' fallen tributes, a man in the crowd whistles the tune Katniss and Rue shared to ensure each another of their safety, and provides the three-finger salute of District 12. Everyone follows the man's example until a Peacekeeper shoots the man dead, leaving Katniss angry, afraid, and upset. Their mentor, Haymitch Abernathy, informs Katniss and Peeta that they must display their relationship for the remainder of their lives. Katniss proposes a public engagement between herself and Peeta, which is carried out and celebrated at Snow's home in the Capitol.
Upon returning to District 12, Katniss warns her close friend, Gale Hawthorne, of President Snow's threat to kill both their families. Meanwhile, Peacekeepers crack down in District 12, causing Gale to be publicly whipped after attacking newly placed Head Peacekeeper Romulus Thread. That evening, Snow announces Panem's third Quarter Quell, a version of the Hunger Games every 25 years that contains a special provision: all tributes are selected from the existing pool of victors. Katniss immediately devotes herself to ensuring Peeta becomes the Quarter Quell's victor, should he compete in the games. At the reaping, Katniss, the districts' only living female tribute, and Haymitch are reaped by chaperone Effie Trinket. Peeta volunteers to take Haymitch's place and is sent directly to the train with Katniss, without a chance to say goodbye to their loved ones.
